Carleton will now cruise into the NCAA Tournament on an eight-game winning streak and with only one goal allowed in their last three contests.

-Carleton senior forward Marco da Cunha scored the first goal of the game at 30:34 on a header inside the box.
-Trevor Jones - whose overtime goal in the regular-season finale clinched the No. 2 seed in the Playoffs for the Knights - scored the game-winner in the 52nd minute. Tarek Bos-Shadi earned his second assist of the game on the play.
-Sophomore forward Hakeem Morgan scored his 13th goal of the year, unassisted, for St. Olaf just before the end of regulation to prevent a shutout.

-With the victory, Carleton earned the MIAC's automatic qualifier to the 2021 NCAA Men's Soccer Tournament. This is the fifth time in program history the Knights will head to "The Dance," and the first time since 2018 when the team reached the second round of the national playoffs.
-The Playoff title is the fourth for Carleton, which previously won the MIAC tournament in 2008, 2013, and 2018. In both 2008 and 2018, the Knights took the championship on penalty kicks.
-Four MIAC teams appeared in the season's final NCAA Region IX Rankings earlier this week. St. Olaf, Gustavus, and Carleton were ranked as the top three teams in the region, with Augsburg at No. 7. Depending on how the automatic qualifiers from other area conferences shake out, the MIAC could see multiple teams receive NCAA Tournament bids on Monday.

-Carleton received the MIAC Playoff championship plaque and the Conference's automatic bid to the 2021 NCAA Men's Soccer Tournament. Regular season MIAC champion St. Olaf and the rest of the MIAC will eagerly await Selection Monday to see if the league sends any additional teams to the NCAA Tournament via at-large bids. The NCAA will announce the national tournament field during its annual selection show on Monday, November 8 at 12:30 p.m. CT.
